"Our home was built in 2005, and this is the first problem we have had with it. As we are relatively new to the area, we were at a loss as to what companies might be reliable and fair in price. I had been considering joining Angie's list, and this situation removed all doubt. Within a few minutes of joining, I was reviewing detailed, known-reliable reports on local businesses. One large company had many "A" reports and a few negatives, while a smaller company whose services were provided by the actual owner had a 100% positive rating (11 reports) and many enthusiastic comments. I thought a smaller company whose owner had a direct stake in customer satisfaction seemed like a good choice, and this led me to Ledlow's Heating and Air Conditioning Service. As noted above, Mr Ledlow arrived quickly and fixed our problem in mere minutes. Afterwards, he offered to check out our attic unit as a courtesy. While there, he noted the lack of ventilation which led to high temperatures in the attic. He explained several detailed options for ventilation [which would be performed by a roofing contractor]. While not mandatory, these could help make our AC run more efficiently and lower our power bills. He went out of his way to offer helpful information. It was clear that he is a professional in the truest sense of the word -- he cares about the customer and about optimum results on each job, not just "the bottom line." We will continue to rely on Ledlow's AC service, and our Angie's list membership has already more than paid for itself!"
"Overall our experience was perfect. Both Mr Ledlow and his assistant were very nice men and easy to work with. They could have easily made a few hundred bucks off us by telling us something major was wrong with the a/c but they didn't. Everything was explained to me in detail and he even made some suggestions for better ventilating my attic which could bring our electric bill down a bit and help cool off the house."

"Service was outstanding; got an appointment the next day. He offerded to come the same day, but since ours was not an emergency call, I told him the next day would be fine. He called in the morning to inform me he would be running late due to an emergency call that came up, which was fine with me. When he showed, he was professional and courteous and performed the service in a timely manner. Since we needed a part for our compressor, he offered to write down all the info so we could get the part or for him to get it and return the next day to install it. I chose for him to do the work. He came back the next morning, installed the part, and tested the system to make sure everything is running well. I was very satisfied and definitely plan to continue using Ledlow's for all,our future Heating and A/C needs."

"I called this provider at 8:45 AM and he showed up at 10:00 AM. The serviceman asked me to turn the pump on and it started right up. He checked some aspects of the pump as well as the thermostat and air handler. He explained to me that the pump has a built-in time delay of roughly 5 minutes and then showed me how it worked. The service call was $55.00 and he waived $30.00 for an Angies List evaluation. Then, he decided to waive the whole charge because he didn't feel like he had really done anything. Since I had asked him to check the freon level, I gave him $25.00 for that and the fact that he put my mind at ease by explaining the system to me. Besides, he loves dogs and I have two of them (big ones). This guy might be the most polite and unassuming I've ever met. He also told me that if he had to return for the same problem, he would waive the service call fee. What's not to like?"
